| Title: How do I position myself to friends of prospects? |
|
Question: I have several acquaintances that are not necessarily in need of my services, but they have contacts who are people I would love to work with. Assuming my acquaintances allow me to contact their friends, does it look bad that their friend is not working with me? Robert |

Answer:
No, it will not look bad providing that you know your acquaintances do not need your financial services. The only way to be sure your services are not needed is to ask them outright. Then, when you contact their friends, position yourself as someone who works with people like them. By positioning yourself appropriately, you can then explain that your acquaintance suggested you contact them because they are the type of people that could benefit from your services, products, etc.
